Introduction of the Accommodation Tax

Accommodation tax will be introduced
A lodging tax will be levied on stays at accommodations within Hirosaki City starting December 1, 2025.
The accommodation tax revenue will be used to enhance the appeal of Hirosaki City's natural,historical, cultural, and traditional resources, promote visits and exchanges between people in Japanand abroad, as well as sustainable tourism that is in harmony with the lives of the citizens.

Onsen (Hot Spring) Information
Iwakisan Tourist AssociationThere are several hot spring sites in the Mt Iwaki area. The main areas in which these are to be found are the Hyakuzawa Hot Spring Village and the Dake Hot Spring Village. Each of the hot springs contain different components, such as Sodium, Chloride salt, and Hydrogen carbonate. You are welcome to stay and enjoy the relaxation they offer.
